President’s Message

Happy Summer WCO Members and Friends. I had a wonderful summer. My Iowa family came to join me for my July 4th birthday party….fireworks and all! My son, Michael took his family to the beach, to Tolmie and Federation Forest on his way to Mt. Rainier…they don’t have mountains or oceans in Iowa! It was great fun to join them at Tolmie and watch the kids turn over rocks to see the little crabs scurrying about.

I hope you had a wonderful summer too, and are ready to get back into the swing of things as your WCO Board has many, many fun and money raising activities planned for you. A Woman’s Club activity for
every month! So please be ready to participate in making this year, our best year ever!

Starting off the new year, Pat Keith will be initiating 2 new members, Denise Kinney and Lauren Rodgers. We have also invited some guests, so please help me make them feel welcome!
It’s your club, so let’s keep it going, and get our name out in the community, so we can make it to the next 100 years, and be proud of all our accomplishments along the way!

Also on September 23rd in our clubhouse, the General Federation of Women’s Clubs-Washington State (GFWC-WS) is holding their Board meeting. This is a perfect opportunity for new members, or members that didn’t want to travel, to see what the GFWC-WS Board does, and how they conduct business. I’ll have the paperwork at the next meeting if you’d like to attend. The cost will be $55 for registration and lunch. I’ll be there, please join me.

See you in September…. starting the last year of my 2 year term as President!

Take Care, Linda Wolfe, WCO President
