November 2023

President’s message

Hello, WCO Members, The weather is changing, but my flowers are still working hard
to make me smile. I hope you’re smiling as we prepare for all the upcoming events that our
Fundraiser Committee has in store for us. Breakfast with Santa will be a first, so I hope
you tell all your friends and make this event a great success.

WCO is heading to the Peninsula District Conference, where I will give a “State of the Club” report…and while I’m there I get to invite those 9 clubs to our Woman’s Clubhouse for the Peninsula District Convention in the in April. So please plan to attend the Peninsula District meeting at our own clubhouse.
Period Day on our front porch was a great success. Please give Linda Malanchuk-Finnan and Irene Lewis a high-5 when you see them.

At our November 7th meeting, we’ll have a surprise. Beth Dogolio will be stopping by to visit for a few minutes, so we can give her a round of applause for helping us to secure the grant that we used for
all our remodeling. Darcy Huffmann will introduce us to Quixote Villages for our program. So please join us and help make this the best year ever. Cheers! Linda

Several of us are baking for the Dessert Dash for the Lacey Mayor’s Gala on October 20th. The proceeds for that event will go to fund some of the Gold Star Family Events at the flag wall at the corner of Sleater-Kinney. Thank you for supporting our military families.
